I have been working nonstop on a mission with Buddy, but I am not talking about our desire for world domination. Today, it’s all about “Mission: Darklands.”
Every year, thousands of people from all over the world visit Darklands. It’s like a utopian world created in Antwerp, Belgium, where life is not just great but even better because everyone dresses in their favorite fetish gear day and night. It’s just a perfect environment for us to introduce Buddy to the world in that melting pot.
Despite the various subcultures within the gay fetish community, visitors experience a unique collaboration of fetish brotherhood. Everyone has the chance to meet new people, discover different interests, learn safe practices of sexual life and further develop their sexual identity at Darklands.
Why does it matter to Buddy? Because it is to remind everyone that we are a significant ally and life-changing platform for kinksters and fetish communities. On that note, we prepared our Darklands concept, advertisements, and all the other communication activities with great care. We infused them with a bloody dose of humour.
As a dating and social platform, the central communication theme was allowing people to freely express themselves in their fetish gear and sexual activities. Our call to action, therefore, was “Sexpress Yourself”.
We created a photo wall for people to pose with the best-fitting sexual tags like dominant, submissive, vers, fist, puppy, slave and so on, just like creating a profile on Buddy and filling it out with your personal information.
The other activity we brought to Darklands was the “Hole of Fame”. What the fuck is this creepy activity? It’s like God creating gays: kinky minds, a hole for whole and dicks and more dicks.
We made a box with a hole that contained a camera inside. All the dirty minds posed, sticking their boners into the hole and joined the Hole of Fame by Buddy. Similar to creating a profile on Buddy where users can add unlimited XXX photos or videos to the gallery.
To spice things up, porn shows at our booth, in cooperation with our partner in crime, Project Y, received great interest from visitors. No need to say; our booth was quite popular and extremely busy.
As the festival came to a close, our emotions were bittersweet. It was a successful mission in the end, but we were sad to leave all those kinky bastards behind, though most of them got on board with their Buddy profiles. Besides, we knew we would miss our baddie and neighbor across, MR. Riegillio, as we slayed Darklands together.
Throughout those days, we made great contacts everywhere. We know that all those will lead to exciting collaborations, new opportunities and a broader user base for Buddy in the future.
